Judy took on this project in July of 2019. The walls were brown. The fixtures were blue. The cabinet for the sink was too large for the narrow space formed by the curved wall. The toilet was literally crowded into the plaster wall.
The plan here was to get rid of the blue fixtures, replace the sink and cabinet, paint the room and lay new flooring.

After priming the walls, the next step was to remove the sink and cabinet.

The plumbing runs along the wall behind the cabinet. We didn’t want to cut holes in the new cabinet, nor did we want a medicine cabinet hanging off the wall. The solution was to build out the wall slightly so the plumbing could run inside it and the medicine cabinet could be recessed.

Judy salvaged enough of the beadboard to complete the trim around the cabinet. It’s ready to receive a new vanity and medicine cabinet.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, the toilet came out, the wall was repaired, and a right-sized unit was installed.

Judy fabricated a new enclosure for the plumbing and baseboard heat.
The blue tub was coated with a special epoxy to make it white

New flooring, a new medicine cabinet, and a vanity with a rounded profile that fits well in the tight space by the window. Job Done.
