Sometimes when you’re working, you forget about taking pictures of the work. That was the case here, in fact, we’re not entirely sure when this happened. We think in the summer of 2017. I was involved in some other project, Judy did this one.

Whoever painted the house last seems to have given up. Those boards look like they’ve not been painted in a hundred years.


Some suspicious-looking work had been done over the window and part of one of the brackets was missing. I repaired the bracket, did some work on the return, and Judy stripped the clapboards off and replaced them, then did the painting.

Here’s the result, in a shot taken in January, 2018
